Blue Lava Wireless

When Blue Lava needed help creating new game modes for Tetris, they turned to Shufflebrain. Working closely with their internal team, we designed a puzzle mode and social structures to support Tetris Battle, an innovative tournament game that's a hit in Asia, coming soon to the U.S.

Digital Chocolate

Digital Chocolate likes to push the boundaries of mobile gameplay. When they needed design leadership on an innovative dating application, they engaged us to help. We fleshed out their concept, developed the feature set and UI, and organized and ran focus groups to test the application.

eBay

When eBay needed to scale and improve their social systems, they engaged Amy Jo Kim of ShuffleBrain. Working closely with senior staff on social design initiatives, we refined eBay’s reputation system, launched the “About Me” Personal Profiles, and designed the multi-tiered Top Sellers program.

Harmonix Music

Harmonix is an independent game studio that's renowned for developing breakthrough music games like Guitar Hero and Karaoke Revolution. When Harmonix started developing their first online multiplayer music experience, they engaged ShuffleBrain to design the social architecture and community features for this upcoming game.

Maxis

When innovative game studio Maxis (makers of Simcity and The Sims) needed social design expertise, they turned to Amy Jo Kim of ShuffleBrain. Amy Jo designed the social infrastructure for SimCity's website, which included a City Exchange for sharing player-created cities, and a rating system for player-generated ratings. Amy Jo also designed the social infrastructure for The Sims Online, including the mechanisms for groups and neighborhoods.

Nokia Ventures

Nokia Ventures is the advanced product design lab that incubates and launches new products within Nokia. This organization engaged ShuffleBrain to create the community strategy and design for WidSets (www.widsets.com), a cross-platform networked service that enables bloggers and developers to mobilize their content and develop new Web-to-mobile widgets.

Popcap

When leading casual games publisher PopCap needed puzzle expertise, they turned to Scott Kim of ShuffleBrain. Scott designed the game mode and the individual puzzles for Bejeweled II, the sequel to Bejeweled, which is a hit game on both Web and mobile.

ThinkFun

When toy and game manufacturer ThinkFun wanted to extend their hit puzzle toy Rush Hour, they brought in Scott Kim to design the sequel Railroad Rush Hour. Scott has consulted on the design of many of their products, especially on how to adapt their products to interactive media.

Workman

When major independent book publisher Workman decided to add a Games calendar to their highly successful page-a-day desk calendar line, they turned to puzzlemaster Scott Kim. Scott designed, wrote and illustrated the desk calendar, which features a different puzzle every day of the year.

Yahoo!
